Injection of a sperm cell into the egg cell (ICSI):

With intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), the sperm is injected directly into the egg cell. ICSI is considered when the sperm cell cannot fertilize the egg cell either in the woman’s body or in a test tube and the woman fails to become pregnant despite IVF treatment.
